What a sight, what a joy!

Imagine seeing more than 1000 young people coming together to study for ministry. What a sight that would be. What a joy! This is a ministry in which you play a part.

Every year the Basel Christian Church of Malaysia (BCCM) runs its Bahasa Malay ministry camp for indigenous young people, which is attended by more than 1000 participants eager to learn more about the Christian faith and how to share it. This is one of the exciting ministries you support through LCA International Mission.

The LCA and BCCM have been partners in mission for more than 21 years, with both churches encouraging each other to share the gospel with people who do not yet know Jesus. This partnership supports ministry and mission in Sabah (East Malaysia), and assists the Malaysian church to raise up local leaders. One of those leaders is Rev James Wong, who was in December installed as bishop of BCCM. LCA International Mission congratulates him, and prays for him as he leads the people of BCCM in following Jesus.

During our partnership with BCCM, LCA International Mission has also provided long-term scholarships for faculty theological development. Recipients include the principal of Sabah Theological Seminary, Rev Dr Wilfred John Samuel.

Many of our partner churches are working in new territory for the kingdom of God; therefore, spiritual attack is their everyday reality. As a member of a congregation, school, or family, or a couple or individual, you are invited to commit to praying for our partners in mission.
