Evangelisch-Lutherische Kirche in Norddeutschland
The North Church is the youngest Protestant church in Germany. The Evangelical Lutheran Church in Northern Germany, as it is officially called, was founded at Pentecost 2012. It is a union of the North Elbe Church in Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein with the Church of Mecklenburg and the Pomeranian Church. The experiences as Protestant churches in East and West have entered into this connection. They are common treasure. Connected with this is the claim to a ministry at eye level, while the belief in God and the Gospel unites the people of this Church.
