Beef Lok Lak

Serves 2

1 cucumber, peeled and thinly sliced
2 small tomatoes, sliced
½ onion, thinly sliced
300g beef, sliced
1 tbsp fish sauce
1½ tbsp oyster sauce
2 tbsp sugar
5 tbsp water
2 tbsp oil
1 clove garlic
1 tbsp cornstarch
2 tbsp black pepper
pinch of salt


Arrange the cucumber, tomato and onion on a clean plate and set aside.

Mix the beef with the fish sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, water and oil and mix well.

Put some frying oil in a frying pan, keep it hot, then add the garlic to make it sweet. Add the beef and stir thoroughly (add a little water if dry).

Let it boil a little, add cornstarch and stir to thicken.

Remove the beef and place it on the plate of salad already prepared.

Add pepper, sugar, salt and lemon to taste.
