A Gift of Light and Love
‘We have proper light to work with them rather than using lamps or torches like before’… with these words Sister Roselyn Lote, Officer In Charge at the Tawa Health Centre (Lutheran Health Services) in the remote area in the Menyamya District of Papua New Guinea (PNG), shares her thanks to you for your gift to the people in the area she serves.
Your dedication to supporting the Solar Panel special project has made an amazing difference to the lives of many vulnerable people – young and older, living in this area and other remote and rural areas in PNG.
With a reliable power source, health care workers serving with the Lutheran Health Services (LHS) of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Papua New Guinea (ELCPNG), have the ability to turn on a light in a darkened room, or even to have enough power to run a small refrigerator. This fact has a significant impact on the ability to deliver good health care to the many people living in the remote areas of PNG, where LHS nurses work.
LCA International Mission adds our heartfelt thanks, together with LHS in ELCPNG, to the Lutheran Women of Australia, for your significant gift of funds to purchase solar panels for the rural health centres of LHS. Through this gift you help to give light and life.
