About us

HISTORY

Eventide Lutheran Homes and Hamilton Village began as an idea in 1946. Over the following years the idea gathered momentum until in 1958 the land known as Abbots Field was purchased. Previous land owners include colonist Edward Henty, Harriet and Ruth Abbott and W C Schultz. The first Eventide residents, numbering eleven, were welcomed in 1962. We have grown somewhat since then!

Today we employ around 90 staff, delivering a range of direct care and support services to 150 residents.

With offices at 72 Ballarat Road and 78 George Street, our opening hours are 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday. Care staff are available 24 hours, 7 days a week. General enquiries should be made during business hours.
